Disclosed CFLG baseline survey in Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality Kaski

Child Friendly Local Governance (CFLG) Baseline Survey of Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality (RM) Kaski has been disclosed on February 16, 2024 (Falgun 4, 2080) in the premises of Machhapuchhre RM conference hall Lahchowk Kaski. On that occasion Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Ward Chairpersons, ward members, Chief Administration Officer, Section Chiefs and staff of RM, Chief of Social Development Office Gandaki Province and National Child Right Council Gandaki Province Focal Person also were presented. The CFLG baseline survey was presented by Mr. Padma Kiran Rana the Chairperson of the TOLI. Based on the finding of the baseline survey; 30 indicators were fulfilled completely, followed by 5 indicators fulfilled more than 80%, 9 indicators fulfilled partially and 7 indicators (i.e. i. establishment of child garden and child resource center, ii. preparation of child profile and its systematic execution, iii. preparation of child status paper, publication & its updating, iv. child representatives involvement in health management committee, v. breast feeding room at RM building, vi. institutional management to the children and disables during disaster period and vii. preparation and execution of child friendly code of conduct; have not yet been intervened, out of the total 51 indicators as provisioned by the CFLG implementation guideline 2021 (2078),

Out of 9 wards, first phase baseline survey was completed in 7 wards (ward no. 1,2,3,4,5,7 & 9) in FY 2079/80 whereas second phase survey in 2 wards (ward no. 6 & 8) was completed in FY 2080/81. On that occasion 21 enumerators from respective wards were mobilized to collect the information from total 5170 household (HH) of the RM. Mr. Thakur Giri and Ms. Gita Chhetri were mobilized to support the enumerators in the field as a field supervisor.
