Participated in 75th human right day and 16 days activism against gender-based violence
Participated in 75th human right day and 16 days activism against gender-based violence on December 10, 2023 in Pokhara jointly organized by government of Gandaki Province, Mahabhela (Grand Gathering), human rights commission Gandaki Province office and various NGOs of Kaski district. The procession was started from Human Rights Chowk Chipledhunga to Conference Hall Sabhagriha Chowk. On that occassion processeion, the millitary, the arm force police, the police, civil citizen, human rights organization, government officials were presented. The procession was converted into gathering in infront of Conference Hall of Sabhagriha. The gathering was Chaired by the chief of Human Right Office Gandaki province, Chief Secretary of the Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Ms. Laxmi Kumari Basnet was the chief guest of the gathering. On that occassion Ms. Bina Silwal the coodinator of Mahabhela, chairperson of Nepal journalist association Kaski, Ms. Bimala Bhandari, Mr. Gopal Dhwoj Khadka, the NGO federation chairperson of Gandaki province and Mr. Laxman Subedi of Nepal Blind Association Kaski president were spoken on various aspects of human rights and gender violence especially the cyber crime, misuse of social media and loop holes about act and regulations. The programme was anchored by Mr. Shiva Khakuryal the INSEC coordinator of Gandaki province. It is realized that the violence is increased due to access of social media. On that occassion Mr. Padma Kiran Rana the chairperson and Ms. Gita Chhetri the treasurer were participated on the behalf of TOLI.
